Veterinarians
Dr. Greg Taylor
Practice Owner/ Veterinarian
Dr. Taylor grew up in El Dorado, Arkansas. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Central Arkansas and attended Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2004. He has been practicing as a veterinarian in Hot Springs and the surrounding areas ever since. Dr. Taylor opened Temperance Hill Animal Hospital in 2012. He and his wife, Jennifer, have a son, Nash, and a daughter, June. They have 4 dogs: Smalls, Billy, Daisy, and Roscoe, and 3 cats: Boo Radley, Newman, and Lula. Dr. Taylor enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time on the lake.
Dr. Robin Viscardis
Dr. Viscardis is originally from Magnolia, Arkansas. She graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 1993 and Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. Dr. Viscardis has practiced small animal medicine and surgery her entire career in Hot Springs and has been with Temperance Hill Animal Hospital since 2014. She and her husband, Craig, have three sons. In her free time, Dr. Viscardis enjoys physical fitness, spending time on the lake, and vacationing with family. Her family has a German Shorthaired Pointer, Jetta, Miniature Australian Shepherd, Kona, and one cat, Maui.
Dr. Dent Burks
Veterinarian
Dr. Burks is originally from Tennessee and graduated in 1980 from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, where he was inducted into Phi Zeta, the Honor Society of Veterinary Medicine. He has been practicing small animal medicine and surgery in Hot Springs since 1984. He and his wife, Myra, have two children and three grandchildren, as well as two dogs and five grand dogs. In his spare time, Dr. Burks enjoys fishing, scuba diving and reading veterinary journals.
Team
Courtney Flickinger
Courtney is from Illinois, but she moved to Arkansas in 2001. She has been with our clinic since 2014. She graduated from Bismarck High School. Courtney is married and has two daughters. She has a St. Bernard, a Boston Terrier, a Frenchton, an American Bully, and 2 cats. Courtney enjoys working with animals, and in her spare time, she likes to spend time with family, friends, and her fur babies outdoors.
Gayla Rice
Gayla grew up in Northeast Arkansas. She taught special education for 27 years before retiring and moving to Hot Springs. Gayla has two children and one granddaughter as well as 2 cats and a grand dog.
Charlene Green
Charlene was born and raised in California and moved to Hot Springs in 2012. She has 6 dogs, 6 cats, 30 chickens, 2 turkeys, and 5 cichlids. In addition to her brood of animals, Charlene and her husband, Anthony, have three children: Marques, Aaron, and Kaley. Clearly, working with animals is the perfect job for Charlene!
Brittany Halverson
Brittany was born in Pine Bluff and relocated to Hot Springs in 1998. She graduated from Lakeside High School in 2004. Brittany and her husband, Ron, have two daughters, Autumn and Katalina, and a son, Knox. She has been a lover of animals her whole life and has always wanted to work with them.
Jeremy Foshee
Jeremy has been working in veterinary medicine for 8.5 years now. He started in kennel at another clinic then came to Temperance Hill in March of 2019 where he continued kennel until he was promoted to Veterinary Assistant in 2022. He loves all kinds of animals and gives credit to Steve Irwin as his inspiration. Growing up and watching animal planet really played a big part in his affinity to animals. He has 1 dog, a Staffordshire named Mr. Bubba. He is his best friend.
Jeremy enjoys going on walks in the park with Mr. Bubba, gardening, and playing the drums. He has been playing in a worship team at a local church for 7 years now.
Courtney Keadle
Courtney was born and raised here in Hot Springs. She attended Hot Springs High School. She always knew she wanted to help animals and feels so grateful to be able to be in her current role at THAH. She especially has a soft spot for senior and special needs pets. She currently has 2 dogs and 7 cats, who are all rescues. Her fur babies mean the world to her!
Liz Allison
Vet Assistant
Liz was born in July of 1992 here in Hot Springs and has lived here the entirety of her life. She graduated in 2010 from Cutter Morning Star. She has 2 sons, Cason and Riley. She has 1 dog, Dingo, and 2 cats, Merry and Kiki. In her free time, she and her family love ATV riding, going to the lake, grilling, and having family and friends over. Liz has a soft spot for all animals since she was young and enjoys being able to come in every day and work with them.
Logan Wilson
Receptionist
Logan was born and raised in a small town in east Texas. She graduated high school in 2014 from Hughes Springs and started college at the University of Texas in Tyler. She later moved to Hot Springs in 2025. She has 1 dog named Marley. In her spare time, Logan enjoys reading and taking her dog to the park.
Ashlynn Erwin
Vet Assistant
Ashlynn is Arkansas born and raised. She is actively pursuing a bachelors in natural sciences with a pre-vet track at Henderson University. She enjoys every animal related. She has two dogs, a cat, two birds, two geckos, and several species of snakes.
